On the beach...or rather... the ocean floor
The Bay of Fundy, home of the worlds highest tides is also home to Shangri-la Cottages. Shangri-la Cottages are nestled in Burntcoat Head where the Powerful Bay of Fundy tides can be viewed from our rental cottages.
The highest ebb and flow tides in the world are located in Burncoat Head and are recorded in the Guinness World Book of Records. Shangri-la can boast magnificent views, walks on the ocean floor, country living, and when approaching the ocean floor you will walk over the marker used to measure the worlds highest ebb and flow tides of the Fundy Bay.
The powerful tides roar over the ocean floor twice daily. You can view years of erosion as the high cliffs are washed away. The view from our Nova Scotian cottages cannot be matched. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the country life.
